Default Dodgy Dbox from Germany

I wonder if anyone can advise me on where I might be going wrong here. I've recently bought a Db*x2 from Germany on ebay for a relative of mine and am having problems setting it up, I am an amature at this but am keen to learn. Ive downloaded some software and used some of the programs on the disc that came with the box.Its a sagem 2 chip box which came with sportster 1.10 pre flashed and channels info eg bbc 1, bb2 were displayed but no picture. I decided to do a scan which i had done before on my own box,I used the same settings as before but no channels were found,i then did a bruteforce scan which found the channels but no picture again, so i decided to have a bash at flashing a newer image which i had trouble finding due to most forums not letting me download, anyway i flashed sportster1.75 X2 using dbox command, this worked but the service and bouquets didnt seam to copy to the box, anyway i eventually gave up and done a manuall scan(6952) which again found no channels, could there be something wrong with the tuner? any advice would be appreciated.

I would suggest trying one of the newer UK images like Andromeda, Blade, or even my Beta 5
