Prices for the good Linux boxes are around 300 quid although the cheap end of the market are around 100 quid.

The next generation of sky cards are rumoured to stop card sharing or even use in a linux box, so buyer beware.

Plenty of info about them right here on the forum

I would not recommened for beginners to the hobby - they can be a right b&st&rd to get your head around properly.
