Hello everyone
First of all apologies if this has already been asked but I have looked through the threads and cant find an answer to it. I am currently subscribed to NTL/Virgin and have been for around 5 years or so. I am located in Belfast, N.Ireland. I am still using a chipped Analogue Box but this does not have as many channels as it used to and I have not upgraded to a Digital Box yet as I heard that the signal was being blown alot and hence blowing the actual chipped box! So, I have recently just won an auction on ebay for a Eurovox Max 2008 box and I am currently waiting on this being delivered. My friend who used to work for NTL/Virgin has told me that the Eurovox box will work no problem at all in my house as the white coax cable which runs from the street into my house and into the Analogue Box is in fact a Digital line. He has told me that when NTL were first installing cable in customers houses that they simply used the Analogue Boxes because they didnt have the Digital Boxes ready and werent at full capacity to go fully Digital. Does anybody else reckon that I will be able to just plug the coax cable in my house into the Eurovox Box and I will receive all the channels or will I first have to phone Virgin and get them to install the Basic Digital TV package? Somebody please get back to me with answers on this. It would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks for any answers in advanceLast edited by Rama78; 11-03-08 at 10:05 PM. |

Since as you say you are a subscriber I have no doubt that the Eurovox should work OK because you are getting a feed down the cable ...
