Default Help V+ HD box not powering up

Hi,
I have a Virgin V+ HD box but when I plug in the power cable in nothing happens. I can hear these ticking sounds coming from the side where the power goes in and I know its not the Hard Disk because its not even powered up. Is the box dead? Is it the tranformer or a capacitor that is gone bust?

Thank you

Take the lid off and check the power supply.

its a short on the cerkit someware, untill the short is sorted it will keep triping it out. tri not to plug power in, as it wil take the transformer down.. what you need to do is take the board out and remove all the 33v caps, that should sort it.
