Receivers/CAMs that can read a Sky card?

A question that is often asked is "Does my receiver work with a Sky card?

So I thought it would be a good idea if we had one thread where members could post any info they had.

It may be that you have read it on another forum or have personal experience (better).

Please state the model number etc, whether it need patching, and if it will 'keep the card alive"
Obviously, do not post any Sky dodgyboxes, we all know they can.

TM-3300 2CA, Reads but doesn't keep alive, patching not necessary,but only works in left hand slot unless patched.
One assumes that the other models in the family eg 3100,3200,3400 also work.

Darkbox Rev2007, reads the card, no other information.

All Dreamboxes read a Sly card, my two also update the cards, though some say that they do not. It is rumored that there will be e new issue of Sly cards and that they will be unread able by any receiver other than a Sly box, though how they are going to do that without issuing every subscriber with a new Sly box, but if you believe everything that you hear you will eat all you see and that include sh*t.

Yes, I really meant card in the slot.
as almost any receiver with a CAM slot would work wouldn't it?

But any CAMs that can be used would be useful, Like the Trex etc.

Vantage 200 series models with unofficial software reads the card in both slots, including sports and movies. One patch claimed to auto roll. I have never taken my card out for more than a day as my Sky+ box will not record without the card so I cannot say for sure if the card will stay alive.

For me its best to stick with the Sky box for the full epg anyway.

Works in Diablo on various stealths, don't think it will stay alive though.

That is right, it is well known that it doesn't keep the card alive.

manhattan plaza XT range reads sly card and is very fast had mine for 2 months now,trex a reads sly card but one has to put box no in for sports and movies is fast diablo no box no but a bit slow

Dreamboxes using CCCam installed pass the stay alive signals quite nicely - and will also reactivate dormant ftv cards - I know I tried it on an old card which came in a broken digibox I was given & hadnt been used for 6 months
