I had to hunt around to find it following the move (it wasn't showing up in scans either), but it's been at it's new location ever since for me. Having said that, I'm now getting picture break-up quite often which never happened before and seems to be limited to N24 only.

Hi lads,
Just had a look on KingofSat and they are reporting it as being Astra 2A (28.2E) - 11954.00 H - Txp:13 - Beam:Astra 2A South DVB-S (QPSK) - 27500 2/3 - NID:2 - TID:2013 Now that is where it has been since I first asked about it and Robbo found it for me. It seems that they do not know what they are doing at the beep, now you know where all your licence money is going, into their high tech public relations machine, or not. I am not at the box just now so can't say if I am getting it or not, from that transponder.

Very best regards Wez

There has been a transponder move for BBC News 24,however it has returned to its original transponder, however there were two versions, one was fta and the other encrypted.
The encrypted version has now been removed.
As to the breakup problems, this is a now known problem, and is due to misalignment of the affected dishes,as it is only affecting some viewers and not all.
There is this information related to this issue on the BBC reception webpage

( which I admit is not that often)

If I get any reply to my email to the BBC, I will post an update. Mike.

Well I tend to be on the ball, dish set correct etc, but there is a problem with the transponder. If I can collect rubbish channels without a problem
movies for men etc, I dont think it is me.

As for dish setting on ASTRA 28, if I get all other channels, then it as to be above me.

Sorry slightly confused, going through this thread, can I take it that BBC 24 is back at its original position and a simple resan will pick it up?

It is on 11954H 27500

So, if you have this in your transponder list then Yes, but subject to any intermittent problems that others are reporting, although the BBC are saying on the link that SAT-WORLD provided that mis-aligned dishes are causing a problem. Perhaps it only affects those with very small dishes( eg mini dishes), and has nothing to do with alignment?
