Default Tm5500d lost channels BBC News 24

Has anyone had experience with this model - e.g. tuning, changing settings etc.

Default No Signal - lost chanels

I have lost BBC News 24 - i get the message 'not running or scrambled - all the other channels are fine.
I checked the setting against the latest LyngSat information, and all the settings correspond - e.g. tp,Freq. symbol rate etc.
I did this using the advanced search on my Technomate TM5500D receiver, but I did notice that the strength was 78, but the quality was only 10, and when I did a search i got the message 'No Signal'. I am also unable to receive the radio stations which are on the same transponder - I'm not too worried about that as I have a DAB radio.
I also notice that some of the transponders listed on LyngSat are alph-numberic - e.g. F2L, F2U, whereas all the tranponders on my receiver are numeric.

Hi you will find that BBC News24 has now moved to a different satellite and has a different frequency. I shall have a look in a moment and let you know what it's new frequency is. It has moved to Astra2A and ti's new frequency is 11954.00 H 27500 2/3.

If you scan the above you will get it back. It would seem that it might have something to do with freeing up transponders for the upcoming Freesat, which will be broadcast on Astra2D, which is where BBC News 24 was before the move.

Thanks should go to robbo, who pointed me in the right direction on this subject.

Very best regards Wez

Many thanks for the useful information. I have checked the settings on my Technomate TM5500 receiver, and they correspond to those you posted, and those shown by Lyngsate- e.g. Freq 11954 H tp 13 symbol rate 27500 FEC 2/3, but when I search I still get the 'No Signal ' message. I have taken screen shots of the screens if this would help.

I have lost BBC News 24 and the BBC radio channels. I checked the settings for the relative transponder using the advanced search menue, and they correspond to those on Lyngsat - e.g. 11954 H tp 13 27500 2/3 but when I search I still get the message ' No Singnal ' . I have got some screen shots if this helps.

Well, the info is 100% correct, I have it on right now. The fault must be elsewwhere, like dish alignment etc, as you have no signal.

It was mentioned on another thread, I think yesterday that BBC 24 had moved and I think some radio stations as well.

Your two separate threads merged slushpump, it is not useful to have to threads by the same person with the same probem.

Yes post a screen shot of the screen with the signal strength details and PID etc all showing.

Robbo
