Well I will believe it when it happens, any one know if the trading name is
Gaelic.

I also now wonder if its going out on Freesat, will freesat be soft scrambled although it does say FTA, but do they know the difference.

And where is the funding from?

At least they in the land of St Patrick, will be able to watch RTE news live on sat without a card.

I wonder will the late late show be shown live, pity the GAA is blocked outside Ireland, unless you PAY.

Comments Wez, you are quiet today, Anglosat is bouncing everywhere.

Diaspora where did that name come from, it dont sound Gaelic

Bob

One has to ask, who is funding this?

Hi Bob, it does not sound very like an Irish name, I don't speak the Irish, nor do I know very many people who do, though it is forced on kids at school. I should think that Rupert will be pulling his hair out, if he losses the money he is getting from all the folks that are conned into subbing to Sly to get a decent picture from the local TV.

Very best regards Wez

Well spotted Sat World, But it does not give anymore info than I responded to On TW, we know the only live progs will be the three news casts.
Sport will not be GAA live, so the all Irelands will not be shown live only repeats. The GAA have already given the contracts to pay tv,outside Eire.

As for the vunerable Irish In the UK, what the hell is this all about,
does it mean If my mother was from Kerry, and I am over 60,I will get a freesat reciever fitted all for free, sorry but Dublin does not control
the UK yet,and is it, RTE INT or not,no one knows.

The Irish post needs to get it all together,

Bob

Thank gawd they dropped that stupid Diaspora TV name. RTE International tells you exactly what the channel is.
