Box does not like late night or early morning

Hi all.

Im new to this forum how are you

My problem is my box doesnt seem to like night times and early mornings lol, it cuts off and resets itself, or screen goes green and box freezes.

Ive put up with it for a long time but decided to do something about it. What i was wondering is, if i bought a null modem cable would my box accept the latest eurovox max 2008 firmware or is the hardware too old?

I bought the box last year and the system info is:

model - DVB-XC BOX
S/W Ver - 1.0 SSC4 Oct 20 2006
H/W Ver - 2.0 Oct 20 2006
bootstrap - v001

I read the eurovox max 08 firmware is built brand new from the ground up so i figured if i can flash my box with this new 08 version it should solve the problem.

Im not entirely sure what a DVB-XC BOX is but what I do know is that the eurovox max 08 firmware is for that box and if you don't have a Eurovox MaxV 2008 then it won't work with it as far as I know ....

I'd be very careful if I were you Stephen as yours does not look like a Eurovox MaxV 2008 i.e. a black box.

Can you remember what colour box your EV was packaged in as this normally dictates which model you have - black, blue or red.

your box is a blue box eurovox max and as such you should flash it with the blue box UFL and i would do it asap as a lot of units with the firmware your currently using shut off and needed to be jtagged.
