Was the box sold to you as Plug'n'Play or pre-flashed cos sounds to me like the box hasn't been flashed with any software.

Go to Menu, select Config and System Information. If the Software Ver is blank then you will need to flash the firmware onto the box before you can scan for channels.

To flash the software, you need an RS232 null modem cable to connect the box to your PC and the most up-to-date version of the software. See the above sticky 'Eurovox Tutorial'

BOL

Dont know if lincsat can help on this one-Can you still powerscan etc with no software flashed on the box?
This is the setup if the software is present:

Check V**** M**** site for network problems.Id probaly try a rescan after that:

Go into menu.
then config.
choose clear data.
then choose factory default.
choose either 6952 or 6887.
then click ok to set to factory default.
then do power scan.(set to full)
if 1 dont work try the other.
and make sure cable lead is plugged into RF in

No - the box needs to be flashed with the software so that the box is able to unscramble the signal.

Ok.So this means danski's box must have the software installed as he has carried out a powerscan.
