8888 on pace 4001 can this be fixed

can this box be fixed or should i bin it, i cleaned the simm it didnt work has anyone any ideas, thanks

i had same thing on a sammy 2100,needed a couple of capacitors replacing,grand total 40p lol works perfect now.
check the top of the capacitors for sighns of leakage

Some have had success with reflowing the atmels too, basicaly applying flux on the legs of the atmels with some heat from a gas torch and a touch of solder, to make sure of a good contact.
