Question All working ok ...but

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum - and to cable boxes in general.

I have a new Star Box and so far all OK. However, when I was setting up I lost the original settings and had to do an auto rescan. I had to go to 1570 and turn the emu to on. Although all seems OK I now get some pixelating and freezing ok some premium sites - have I upset some settings please?

Many thanks,

Terry

hi sounds like your problem does need a lot of help try unplugging everything connected and then check to make sure that everything is ok with your starview box and that nothing is faulty as cally has just said make sure that you check every single connection that you have to do with you starview box

hope this helps

Question Re: All working ok ...but

Hi, just to give a little more info I have checked all the connections and they seem fine. I have no probs on any channels except Sky Movies - these are watchable but every so often there will either be a short freeze of the picture (audio continues as normal) or some pixelation. I am wondering if my Star View box is just not as good in dealing with the encryption on these channels as it is on the others.

Many thanks - any tips will be appreciated as I am new to cable and to this forum.

Try it straight into the wall socket without splitter,if no good you MAY need a booster.

Just had a look at the VM site which states that my area is down (South West) although mine is OK at the moment.
