Hi all,
well my 7025 finally arrived here in Bulgaria and, although I have found it to be much easier to set up than the 500, I am having problems with the Enigma. The box is second hand but in great condition and previously set up for Astra at 19e. I flashed it with the latest Gemini and searched services on Eutelsat 16e and Hotbird at 13e, no problems with getting services but nothing opens, also screen keeps showing " loading enigma " and after a while the screen freezes. Also default satellite comes up as Astra at 19.2e. What am I doing wrong please and how do you get this box to manufaturers settings ? All help appreciated. Mike |

Hi, I would re flash the box with the image again, then get the latest Captain's Settings and upload them to the box, at least that way you will not have to scan anything. I find that dreamset is the best to use for doing the settings on the 7025. Once you have done all the rest, the EMUs and the keys etc. you should be ok. Hope it is all well for you, I has been said that you can't bu$$er the 7025 and that re flashing will sort most things out.
Very best regards Wez

Hi Kerrywez,
thanks for all that, I'm still very new to all this ( despite fighting the 500 for a couple of months ! ) I have not heard of Captains Settings or Dreamset before, I have only used Dreamup, Dreamuplan and DCC until now, where do I look for these 2 files please, your help is very much appreciated, because I am a stubborn old b*****d I have refused myself any telly until I get this thing working, silly I know but it got me through the nightmare of the 500 !! I'd just put the LT4 image on your box. Blows the pants off everything else i've seen on the 7025
![]() Just remember that you have to use Enigma2 images on this type of box. Images from any other 7000 series receiver won't work with it ![]() ![]() Nano

Hi Mike, nice bit of kit you have there.
The Captains settings are satellite transponder lists. I dont know if the 7025 needs to be flash erased after installing a new flash image but all the others do otherwise you get the loading Enigma problems that you are experiencing.

Hi Jim,
I was expecting to see " flash erase " somewhere in the dreamup process but it did not occur, that's why I enquired about resetting to manufacture's default settings ( that's how I eventually sorted the 500 with your help ) Hi Nanochicken, LT4 sounds good - where from please ? Mike |

Thanks Nanochicken,
I looked at that, wow ! but I am scared to go that route before I figure the enigma problem. Is there a way of resetting my box to DM defaults like on the 500 ? Once I can get the initial bits sorted I will get more confident . Mike |

Too be completely honest i haven't got a clue as i don't own a 7025, i've only got a 7020 which still uses the Enigma 1 images

As far as I'm aware you don't have to do a 'flash erase' on the 7025 - I've never needed to do it. I would also add my voice to those others who recommend LT4; it's the most well-featured image around (as far as I know), and more importantly still (from my point of view), it's very stable.
(For what it's worth - and that may not be very much - I'd rather do battle with my own settings and suffer a lengthy satellites scan than use the Captain's or anyone else's. I'd even suggest you edit your own satellites.xml file; it may be time-consuming, but at least you know what you're looking for - and expecting to find - when you do your even-more-time-consuming scan.) |
