Default going over 1.1 meter dish

ok

I'm addicted to this hobby now and cant believe how much its grown from just wanting a few German channels to a full blown motorized system

anyway Im wondering about increasing my dish size ive got 1.1 meter traix as the moment

so that will mean removing the motor and replacing it with something more robust what are my options

also I'm alway been told bigger is better but is there an max size that after what it wont matter

The Darkmotor with metal gears is supposed to go up to 1.4m.
Bigger than that, you are talking polar mount and linear actuator I think.

The bigger the dish, the more gain, simple as that, so you can pick up weaker satellites.

The skies the limit.

Not if you buy it when she's not at home.

if you have some dosh then get a andrews 1.2m on a jaeger 1224 36volt h2h motor or lightweight gibertini aluminum dish on a jeager 1224 with the adapter plates

anything over 1metre dish i would not trust on a diseqc motor as they are not built for large dishes unlike properly made motors like the jaeger 1224 or polar mounts and actuator motors

also they will hold better in windy weather.

Satchaser used to do a great 1.5M that fits on the 1224 motor (I've got one).

They only do a 1.2m now though.
