German cable operator Unitymedia is expanding the offer on arenaSAT, its pay-TV platform for DTH households on Astra (19.2° East) with sportdigital.tv being added from April 1.

arenaSAT subscribers can access the channel, which screens live games of Germany’s national handball, basketball and volleyball leagues, for an additional €4.90 per month. sportdigital.tv can also be received as a standalone service for €9.99 per month, with early subscribers receiving a discount and paying only €7.99 per month. An additional satellite access fee of €5 per month is also payable.

In order to offer viewers an overview of the channel, sportdigital.tv will be available for all arenaSAT customers free of charge in April. Subscribers who decide in April to take a subscription receive the service free of charge also throughout May.

Until now, the channel was only available via satellite on the digital platform entavio operated by SES Astra. It is also available on the IPTV platform Alice homeTV operated by Telecom Italia’s German subsidiary HanseNet and on the internet at w*w*w.sp*ort*dig*it*al.tv.
