Hi all
I have a DM-7020S with two dishes and a 4-way DiseqC switch. One Dish with one LNB on Nilesat 7W and the other dish with two LNB's one on Hotbird 13E and one on Eutelsat 16E. The Diseq switch has on LNB1 Nilesat, LNB2 Hotbird and LNB3 Eutelsat with the same configuration on my DM-7020S. I can view channels from Nilesat and Eutelsat but when I try to view Hotbird channels (Nova Greece) i get an error 'Service doesn't currently send a signal'. Please help cause i get this the last couple of months and so far I changed two Diseq switches and three LNB's on Hotbird but the problem comes back all the time. ![]() |

Hi mate welcome to the forum. I have moved your post to the Dreambox 7020 section as you should have a better chance of of a well informed reply there.
The message you are receiving means that there is no signal from the transponder, but in your case I would take it that it is more a case of you Diseqc switch and LNBs not being configured right. As I have my two lager dishes motorised, I have no need for switches and have not got a clue how to set them up. Suffice to say your set up on the Switch that controls the LNB for Hotbird is wrong. I should have asked if you can receive any channels from Hotbird? If you can receive other channels from Hotbird, then I would assume that your switch is OK. If the forgoing is the case we have then to consider your satellites XML. You did not tell us if you have had the box long, how it was going before this happened, have you ever been able to get Nova? Nova is not open, so unless you are in a card sharing ring or have a paid up card and an Irdeto Cam, then you have no chance of receiving any channels from that provider. Very best regards Wez

Welcome to the forum c5005707.
I see that you have two lnbs on one dish for 13E and 16E. Are they narrow lnbs, because it might be difficult to get two normal lnbs to mount correctly for just a 3 degree separation. It could be that the Hotbird lnb is offline. You could try just bypassing the diseqc switch direct to the Hotbird lnb and see if the alignment needs adjusting. If the adjustment can't be obtained then it might be worthwhile having the two lnb dish for the 7W and 13E sats and the single lnb dish for 16E. From your post it seems that you may have been receiving all 3 sats ok for a while so there is also a possibility that the Hotbird lnb may have failed or lost its position.

Thanks Jim for your reply..that is very helpful
I will try what you said. By the way I don't think that the lnb is faulty cause it is a brand new Humax lnb and this is the third lnb I use in a period of two months. I will remove the cable of 16E (eutelsat dish) from the diseq switch to check if Hotbird works. thanks again ![]() |

Hi Wez
Actually I can receive channels from Hotbird and from Nova. These are all the channels from frequency 10930H. I have noticed that for channels from frequency 11823H and 11938H I get the message ‘Service doesn’t currently send a signal’ while for frequency 12169H I get the message 'Service not found'. I have the box for almost 2 years and I have installed the second dish for Nilesat and the lnb for Eutelsat the last 10 months. I could view channels from all satellites until the last couple or three months. Finally I m on a card sharing ring. I hope you can give me more hints so I will solve this problem. |

The Nova Promo channel is sending out piccies and it is free to air. I dont have a card for the other encrypted Nova channels but they are all showing a good signal strength.

Hi,
I am the same as Jim, just been upstairs to check and I am not getting any messages from any channels on those transponders. It might solve your problem if you re flash your box, it is worth a try, if it is not too much hassle with the card sharing. I would save my settings before I do it though. Other than Jim's idea about the thickness of the LNBs I cannot think of anything else that might solve your problem. As Jim says those transponders are sending out great signals so I can see no reason for you getting those messages from channels on them. Very best regards Wez

thanks guys you were very helpful.
I will try to check the LNB's cause I think this is the problem. They are very close to each other. If I have more questions I will come back again. Thanks ![]() |

Hi all
after trying everything on my receiver I concluded that I can't view the channels from High Frequencies. It seems that the receiver cannot scan those frequencies. Do you have any idea if there is something in the settings to make my receiver scan the high frequencies? |

It looks like a lnb problem and it is not switching properly.
