TPS will cease off 13E later in the year
Individual channels will start disappearing between now and the Autumn shutdown. Pink will go at the end of April, and the Multivision film/porn channels will close at the end of May.

![]() The longest running encryption joke since.... since.... well, possibly ever! I have several hard disks full of films from TPS, and have enjoyed much Premiership football from their bouquet too. Still watching and recording stuff. Grab some while you can - especially if you're just getting started in the hobby and want to romanticise about 'TPS' ten years from now in some dank, dark corner of a forum or blog... It has been a great source of interest, not least for the stuff it taught us about hacking and counter measures. I wish I'd have kept some of the official press releases claiming that the pirates had been defeated once and for all, only to have it open again later that day... ![]()

I'll miss TPS in all honesty. It was the first package i ever managed to get open on my old trusty TMS1500
![]() I still watch it now to this day. It will be sadly missed ![]() Lets just hope they have to use the old TPScrypt to make use of all the old TPS decoders. Would be good if they did as theres more on the Canal+ package on 19.2e ![]() ![]() Nano

I like that one Nano, but it would just be our luck that they will go to some other encryption, but they have all those boxes right enough. I will be interesting to see what they do.
Very best regards Wez

They merged with Canal+ sometime last year i think it was. They were both major competitors in France a few years back
![]() TPS broadcast off 13e using Viacess/TPSCrypt and Canal+ broadcast of 19.2e using Mediaguard Seca2. Once merged it didn't make financial sense to continue broadcasting off 13e due to the fact the encryption was shot to pieces from day one and the expense to lease the transponders on 13e ![]() The merged company are now in the middle of a re-allignment programme to put everyone on Astra 1 @ 19.2e ![]() I'm just hoping that the old TPS set top boxes can't be converted to use Seca 2 as that will force them back on to Viaccess unless they swap out all the old TPS units, which i can't see happening to be honest ![]() ![]() Nnao
