A dreambox is a high end enthusiasts receiver - its really not suitable for complete beginners to the hobby. If you want the uk pay channels then you really need another sky digibox.

Hi james123

You can test the waters by buying an easier receiver like one in the Technomate 1000, 3000 or 5000 series to start. If your dish is rightly aligned, just plugging that receiver in will get you the stations that are free on 'Sky' (about 200 in all). If you then want to experiment, you can test other satellites (European channels and channels further afield) by changing the angle at which your dish is currently pointing. You will get help here if/when the time comes for you to do that.
