Default EuroVox Max V 2008 Picture Help

Hi, i am new to this forum and have just joined after a few hours of reading many posts. I am based in the Tyne and Wear area and my box has been working fine for 6 months, up until this last week.

The problem i am having is with certain channels that either keep breaking up, or do not not work at all and display the message 'no signal'. I have noticed that these channels are all on frequency's below 300 MHz, with 163.00 and 299.00 being of particular problem. I have tried alot of the advice on this forum to fix this, including manually changing the frequency on these channels by 0.500 MHz, but this has been of no use so far. I have noticed from reading the forum that most people seem to have a much higher frequency % than myself as i am able only to receive at best 30% on any channel!

Would buying a signal booster be of any use?

Also i have found that if i turn the box of by the plug overnight, all channels will work fine the next day but only for an hour or so before they start breaking up again.

I am finding this problem very frustrating and would really appreciate any advice, or to hear if anyone else is currently having this problem.

Cheers

I had similar problem, it was because "Signal Boost" setting was on, it made my signal at 100% constant which caused some channels to distort.

You can find this in the TV settings on the menu of Eurovox.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not able to find tv settings from the menu button but the signal on the problem channels changes constantly between 0-20%. It gets no where near 100%?

It appears that you may be having a similar problem to me, didn't notice that this thread was on here!

If you have the same box as me, to turn the signal booster on/off, press Menu, Navigate across to Config and then you should see TV Settings. Click OK and then navigate down to the booster option.

Cheers BD,

just read your thread and yes we have similar problem. I have tried turning that boost off as advised but it has no effect on the signal at all. It neither improves it or makes it worse!

I am looking to buy an external signal boost from argos.co.uk if i thought it would be of use

I have bought a signal amplifier today and it seems to have solved all the problems my box was having. My signal strength is now upto around 80% on all frequency's.

Thank You to all of you who took the time to offer any advice

Hi, glad you've got your problem sorted.

Which booster did you opt for? I want to buy one but don't want to buy the wrong kind!

Cheers
