I bought this from computer fair last week, I have virgin media but did not have this to select so selected ex C & W found lots of channels and has worked ok but today I have lost Setanta Sports 1 and 2. It says channel has moved and then comes up scrambled or bad channel Any suggestions?

Delete both channels and rescan, if that does not work do a factory reset and rescan.

Does this super box 3 requires software like star box2 ?

yep it sure does or it is just a fta box as sold to you.
