Default Satellite help - want to loose SKY

New to forum so pls bear with me - a friend has Eurovox and to my amazement gets all SKY channels without paying anything. I want the samething but do not have cable - is there anything I can do?

Second question - want to receive UK / SKY channels in Portugal. If I stay with SKY can I take my viewing card over (providing I buy a decoding box either here and take over or buy there).

Or, can something like Eurovox be purchased for Portugal (or even here). I know I could use an ordinary free to view digibox but want the subscription SKY channels also.

Hi,

If you want Sky from satellite, you have to pay.

For Sky in Portugal, yes you can use a Sky digibox from the UK and use it there, all you would need is a dish of the appropriate size.

There are no receivers that can be used for Sky without buying a subscription.

Obviously you would be able to get the free to air channels, with a standard FTA receiver though.
