Default Boxkeys, JTag's and unlooping...

Hi Everyone.

I am looking for a bit of advice and direction. I am currently playing with NewCS and a SoftCam for Linux called sasc-ng. The softcam can read nagra roms and use a softcam.keys file with the appropriate keys in to dectypt a cable stream. This all works very reliably, but I am also trying to play with the cardserver feature of sasc-ng. Essentially this feature allows it to talk to a card server (in my case NewCS) to perform the same function of decrypting the stream and rolling keys.

What I am trying to do with this setup is use my original smart card (unmodified if possible) to do the decryption rather than keep it all in software. Doing it all in software does make more sense in terms of practicality, but this is just an experiment to see if its possible. The only problem that I have come up against so far is that NewCS requires the boxkey for the legit card to be able to decrypt the stream. I am looking for the most practical way to get the boxkey without poking either the card or the STB (for obvious reasons). Using a different box would obviously defeat the purpose of what I am trying to do, which is use the legit card to decrypt the stream on a PC.

So... the question then is this; should I try to unloop the card? Will this potentially damage it. I understand that everything has a risk, but realistically, how likely am I to poke it? The alternative that I can see is jtagging the STB (DI4100N). Again, this is my actual STB and I don't particularly want to fook it up for obvious reasons. Please note that this is not your average funcard exercise where it is ideal to use another box. I simply want to find out the boxkey and that is all.

I searched the forum but couldn't find any recommendations on where to buy t911 unlooper. Anyone able to make a recommendation?

TIA

you can use a 911 with the correct script, but you mustnt touch it whilst running as this will mark the otp on the card , use led simm as above for unmarked card reasons

as for cam on a 4001 there is not one but maybe if you could connect the stb.umm you never know
