Default Time and Date

Time and Date keeps on changing, its starting to annoy me now hrrr, feel like pulling my hair out, only got a couple left, dont want to be fully bold..

i have been in control panel and adjusted date and time, but everytime i turn off the computer and turn it back on i get this problem.

Is there any settings that i can change for the time and date to set?

Are you pulling the mains when you switch off? If you are, it may be that your internal battery is on the way out.

Thanks for the reply RayB, yes im pulling mains at night when i switch off, everthing else seems to fine, its just the date and time.

Is the internal batt built into the motherboard or can it be replaced?

Open the cover on your pc and than look on your motherboard for 'watch' type battery. Take it out and go down to your local maplins and ask them for replacement battery.

Check the time in your bios too. Keep hitting delete when you first turn your PC before it starts loading Windows to enter your bios.

The problem is with the internal battery on the motherboard which keeps track of time and date. My brother had this problem which I fixed. All you have to do is by a compatible "CMOS BATTERY" and swap the old one on the motherboard with the new one.

Hope it works out.
