Hello everyone
I am looking to connect my Eurovox box to my PC to create one of those CDF files and possibly install the new firmware that u r all talking about. I have downloaded the Voxer program although Im not entirely sure how to use it. Also how do I connect the Eurovox to my PC? Is the RS232 Cable the same as the cable that links ur computer and monitor? Do I link the box to my computer or the monitor and how do I then connect to the internet? I have Broadband so do I simply just do something in the Voxer Program to connect to the net? Apologies for what u probably think are silly questions, its just that I am very new to all this and really havent got a clue! Any answers and help would be great and much appreciated. ![]() I did find the info below in one of the existing posts. Not sure who wrote it though: First of all you will need to connect your Eurovox to your PC using the Rs232 cable, one should of been supplied with the box. Then you will need to Use Voxer which is a program that lets you edit channel names and and arrangement you can also update your Firmware with Voxer. 1) Connect your Eurovox to your PC using the Rs232 Cable 2) Plug your Eurovox into the mains and put it on standby 3) Open Voxer (ill attach it to the thread, its realy hard to find on google) 4) Click Utilites and select "Recieve Service File" and once that is done, select "Tools" and click "Program Manager" and you should be able to find out for yourself how to re-arrange them. 5) Once you have done moving your channels around, click Utilites and select "Send Service File" Cant get my head around how the Eurovox connects to the computer. Does Windows recognise it when its connected? Somebody please write out a simply dummies guide coz trust me, I really am a dummy when it comes to this!!! lol!

You cannot use a standard RS232 cable you need a null modem cable, pick one up from Maplins or fleabay. Connect one end to the Eurovox port and the other end to the com port on your pc and than run voxer.

Cheers alot Curious123. Your advice is much appreciated.
Do I need to connect anything else to the box? Ethernet cable or something like that or is it just as easy as you say?
