Not cards, but a CAM. For this your receiver would need to have a CAM slot.
Usually with the programmer and the CAM, you are probably talking about £100. Unless you have a particularly desirable and expensive receiver, it may be a better option to go and get one that is patchable, a TM5400, a Darkbox,or a Vantage for example. |

Yes, a patchable box such as a TM is the easiest to get to grips with, and the cheapest, the TM5200 for example starts from around £50. You just need a PC and a USB flash drive, and possiby a null-modem cable, if you need to patch it directly from the PC.

i see what you mean, the idea gettin into this was for as much hd source as poss, some footie and othe sport. i like the sound of a lot of boxes but hd tend to be more money which is not to much of a prob within limits of course. im fairly ok with tech stuff and have a freind in spain who gets footie etc for the bar etc so he would run me through it and of course i have you guys. only thing im not keen of is the dreambox / linux sounds a bit to tech for me.

For HD content you need a HD box, I think TM do a a couple the TM6800 and the TM6900, I haven't looked into these too much, as I still have a SD TV at the moment. I think Dream have recently released the DM800 that is HD, and the 8000 is still awaited.
