Samsung 2100 - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Got a sumsung, which i did ages ago for a friend, card has been lost, i re-jtaged the box, now the box is stuck on standby, not loading, no pic, no sound, i shortened batt, checked the jtag point all clear.

Any suggestions before i bin the box? nothing coming up on display, just standby red light and a few green dots.

check the capasetors on the power board see if any are bulging thats the normal fault if so replace them all there should be 6 there available from maplins cost pennys m8 hope this helps you out

Have you looked at PSU 2100 tut in downloads tee, its got about the other caps and fuse as well.

No i havn't Red, Thanks, will have a look later, i have done many sammy 2100, never come accross this problem before.

to save removing caps if you have another psu or 2100 or 2110 stb knocking about use the psu from that for testing, can save a lot of wasted time..

note: there are 2 different psu's one is fused and one isnt you can tell the difference just by looking at it as the fuse is visible, try to use the same psu that came out of the stb as sometimes the fused one ( which is mainly in the 2110) doesnt want to play with the 2100 as the current is therefore regulated

edited as the fused one is in the 2110 sorry forgot.lol

Sorted guys.

I had a samsung 2110 lying around, i changed the psu, and jtaged box, all working fine.
