i have 2 ntl 250 modems and i want to split the line and run them on it.i want to run 2 different pcs of this can this be done easy or do i have to hack the modems

You can run 2 modems on one line OK, so long as they both have valid MAC addresses.

A MAC is only Valid if there isn't a duplicate on the same UBR, so the MAC's would have to be different.

The Reg page usually means you don't have a valid MAC.

if you get the virgin media reg page then the mac you are trying dosnt work or the ubr you got your macs from is to far away! i had the same problem i live in stoke on trent my ubr was stok3 and i swaped macs with someone in stok9 and all i got is the virgin media reg page so i tried a little closer and got a mac from stok5 which worked perfect! (if you find a working mac you should access the web no problem and not get the virgin media reg page)!!

for those doing 250's I had a hell of a time getting working macks but I found 0040xx.. worked fine, tried it with different macs all starting with 004xxx and every single one worked fine, maybe my area, maybe something I'm doing but just thought I'd put it there in case someone was having problems
