Default Lost channels since needing splitter for broadband

Hi everybody,

I am fairly new to this dbox stuff. I have recently got a dbox and all was working fine, (some channels sometimes go jumpy but not big issue).

However today i recieved broadband from virgin media and as soon as I plugged in the splitter i lost a load of channels, including my beloved sport channels. When the splitter was removed all the channels worked.

Is there any reason for this or any way round this?

PS i am in the UK and scan channels using Bruteforce if this makes any difference!! Also whether the broadband is plugged in or not i still lose channels.

Thanks for your help!!

Whittstick!!

Try subscribing to a TV service, maybe they will fix it for you.

your tv broadband connection should not be a problem suggest that one of the splitter plugs may be shorting suggest you either do a continuity test on the splitter or try another splitter

But only about a third of the channels disappear, surely if the filter was faulty, the would all go?? I think a signal booster may be required

when you put a sptter in line you will very slightly drop the signal level did you have any issues like freezing or chirping before you added the splitter

what image are you using?
