Excuse my ignorance but what does the cdf file do for you? I have done a power scan on my eurvox max and got about 250 channels all split up into sports / entertainment / movies and so on. Do these files give you additional options. I cant find one for my area anyway west yorkshire, do these files go to town /city specific or is it just regional

CDF is a 'Channel Definition File'.

Basically a backup of all the channel info on your box including the FAV groupings. They are generally area and provider specific (eg an Oldham file will work in Manchester for the same cable provider)
