Code being updated issue - Ireland - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hi, long time lurker on the site which is great.

I have a Eurovox Max for the past 12 months or so. Recently it has been coming up with "Please wait. Code being updated..." for ages (esp around 5-7pm)

I am in Dublin on N#".

Box info is

Mod: DVB-XC Box TDA
S/w 1.0 STC4 Mar 15 2007
h/W 2.0t Mar 15 2007
Bootstrap v002

(mods feel free to remove values if not allowed)

Is the above an outdated code and this the reason and does it need updating? (not sure how to do that either.....)

Tried auto scan and still happens - box sees 140 channels (using 13 frequencies which are good acc. to posts on here)or so but the code message occurs on a good few of them.

Any help would be great!!!!

Not sure what they are up to today but you can manually input codes as I did today and will then work fine.

Strange this, in a different room I have another box, but it's not a Eurovox but "The Box" and that is having no problems at all - hence I was wondering about software or something ( I thought Eurovox automatically figured out the encryption?)

I have the same problem. It's been over five hours and still no luck. I've update the channels using the Red Button but still no joy. I have EV MaxV 2008 with Kuro Oct 2007 installed. 2.0t K5

Just go to my fix above as advertised by Lucky13. Works perfect!

New software is being worked on at the moment, should be available in a few days.

The Cable Company's have changed the way the signal updates.

We have a EV 2007 S/W Version Oct 2006 in the job canteen and have used the Nagra Edit but still can't get the box to work.
