I thought as we had this in the Satellite section i should put one up in the cable section so we can see the trend in boxes over here
![]() I just thought i would be a good poll to see what are the favorite receivers people on this board are using and what you think of them for support, ease of use, quality etc etc. ![]() You can vote for 1 receiver of choice ![]() Please feel free to say why you like or dislike any particular receiver ![]() I'm voting for the Eurovox as the 2006 version that i had never let me down once. It was a fantastic bit of kit which opened up virtually everything ![]() ![]() Nano

As a d-box2 image creator, I have to say that is the best box, even though I sell the Eurovox and Dreambox
![]() I have the D-box setup to record/playback from the PC, it can access the internet to look at weather forecasts etc. It's stable with a really good picture.

I have got to go for the pace box, very well built box some well over twenty years old and still working, most of the new boxes are not built to last, with cheap components, Samsung boxes are good but i dont think will outlast a pace, D box 2 are well built and a great box but over priced.
The dreamboxes look good but ive not had one of those to try. I would like one of the new dm800 hd boxes if it comes in a cable version. Anyway pace gets my vote. |

(with a hint of sarcasm!)
if you'd asked me last week it would have been my pace box in my living room with the little green flashing light on the front panel, or my old mans eurovox, but at the moment its my samsung in the bedroom with 'Size L' channels. We won't stop trying though eh.... |

...now my pace box is right back up there leading the pack, but having done the update on my old mans eurovox, i'm impressed. so the eurovox is following closely behind.
What we need is a twin-tuner, High-def PVR Eurovox SuperMax Ultra? Thats what i'm waiting for with my folding stuff at the ready? Anybody know when its getting launched? maybe i should start a rumour!!!

Hi Guys,
i really like the voting thing. gives new people an idea what is available and what is most popular. Eurovox i think has the edge these days. (price, userfriendliness, auto update etc..) However, i think DBox2 has more options and versatility. Cheers Share your views

...yeah from what i hear the dreambox/eurovox ultra are pretty good, especially if you wanna stream it to your pc and record on your hard drive. But my old man just wants to watch telly...Had to laugh when i did the latest firmware/scan and he discovered GayTv! i didn't know me mams voice could go so high pitched!!!
