Hello I have bought one of these but am having problems downloading the software, my laptop does not have a RS232 connection so I bought a Rs232 to USB convertor but when I click for the download I get a "cant open serial port" message, any ideas????

You will probably need to configure the ports on the adapter.

you should have got some software with the adaptor, which should gudie you through it.

Hi, i am totally new to your site so i am sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place. I have just ordered a starview 3 box and was wondering if any of you kind people out there had an idiots guide on how to flash the box when it arrives. My cable provider is virgin. Thanking you guys in advance.

Hi I'm new to this room and starview boxes. I have a starview 3 box and it keeps freezing for a few secs and saying scrambled channel.Its only for a sec or 2 . How can I get the update?? and is it going to be obsolete soon anyway ??ty

check the stickys! lol

download the rom file from the downloads section pop in the numm cable PC and box power up your box and then click download on the program the box will then flash!

once its done turn of the box do a fcatory reset .. scan your channels once found click menu type 1570 turn EMU "ON" go to sly sports or any other PPV channel and wait for code update!

But if you had looked at the stickys you would of already knew this

Happy days.. ( Search if you cant see)
