Try this:

Disconnect the cable feed from the modem, on your PC, go into network settings and set your IP address to 192.168.100.10, netmask to 255.255.255.0, gateway to 192.168.100.1 Then re-boot the modem

Now try to access 192.168.100.1 again and see if that works.

The MAC goes in the HFC MAC section, it's recommended to put the MAC +1 in the USB MAC section. IE, if your MAC ends with a 4, end it with 5 in the USB, if it ends with C end it with D in the USB.

Then click on update and reboot the modem, don't forget to change the Network settings back to what they were.
