Got to agree with you there mate, this place could do with a section for the KV they are fast becoming the in thing and support for them is second to none,
Also as said anyone experiencing any issues with setup etc would then have somewhere to post up whereby we along with others im sure, would be able to supply the help and advice needed as well as any future releases of software for the unit itself,
We have no commercial interests in this unit or any of the companies out there selling them,we feel it would benefit the end users as well as the forum.

Kryptview has been discussed in the general cable section, the file release has been well circulated once it became public, I believe it even made it into our links.

It would be impractical to have a section for every different cable receiver, but I believe these are more popular than the FTA101 for example, so hopefully a slot can be found, maybe also a section for "other unofficial boxes" too.

KryptView Setup<o></o>
WARNING<o></o>
BEFORE FLASHING USING THE RED BUTTON METHOD YOU MUST EXIT EASY INSTALLATION 1ST (PRESS THE MENU BUTTON ON THE REMOTE CONTROL) AND GO INTO THE MENU/SYSTEM SETTINGS/OTHER SETTINGS AND SWITCH POWERSCAN MODE TO OFF!!!

OTHER WISE AS AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD SET UP THE LOADER WITH THE ARNET UNPLUGGED, START THE LOADER THEN PLUG IN THE POWER ON THE ARNET TO START THE FLASH. FUTURE FIRMWARE YOU MAY HAVE TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME
<o></o>
Once you have completed the Software Transfer (Flashing the software)you then proceed to scan for channels for your particular area, to do this is as follows:<o></o>
1.Scroll down to Automatic Search and select OK.

2. In the Auto Search Menu make sure you 1st select the correct provider type for your area in the Network option (Press the Left /Right arrow and pick the right one.)eg: Pure NTL, Excw, T/west,Chorus,

3. Select “Network” in the channel Search type.

4. Then press the Green button on remote to Start the search.

5. The Network Scan menu appears with a box with a list of Network ID’s for the different areas under that provider. Scroll down and select the one that matches your area and then press OK (For instance 41044 Sussex). Then wait as it may take a while to start. (Note If you are scanning from an existing set of channels without a factory reset then you will not get a choice of Net IDs and the scan will go straight to the TP scan.)

6. It will then scan for TP frequencies. (SCAN is on the LED Display) Don't worry if you see messages that say "already exists" this is normal.

(Afterwards if you wish to check your TP frequency list select Menu/User Preference/Sat-TP Edit then highlight your provider on the left then press the Right arrow button. Be careful when in the TP list not to press the left arrow button as this is for deleting the selected TP frequency.)

7. When it is finished it then scans the TPs for the channels and will then reset and switche on.

8. The KEY EMU is set to “ON” by default, just tune to a $ (Scrambled) channel and wait for it to update. Please be patient it could take from a few minutes to over an hour sometimes.

9. If something has gone wrong or you selected the wrong area (Net ID) and you want to start again you'll have to reset the receiver. To do this select Menu/Installation/factory default setting. Then start the setup again from No1.
<o></o>
Here you go

hi
i have had a Kryptview box for a few days, was working fine but yesterday switched it on and everything apart from standard channels come up with 'scrambled or no video'! i followed the instructions on rescanning and rescanning with the cable in the output plug but still have nothing. i rescanned and left it overnight on skysports1 but no change in the morning!! is there anyone that can point me in the right direction - do i need to reflash? if so i do i just follow the menu or re-flash? sorry if i sound thick but i am very new and havent 'flashed' a box before!!!
