Default Geekiy Teckie question

One for you 'techies' from a newbie,
I've just whackked up a 1metre motorized dish assy to my wall, seems to work ok, getting 98%-99% signal, so it must be somewhere near!!
Now then, I've noticed how critical the setting up is, but i'm amazed to see that it works with no adjustment required at all on the LNB, or LNB arm to dish mount.
I simply stuck the arm to dish, LNB to arm AND IT WORKED!!
Nothing in the dish or Technomate instructions mentioned anything about adjusting these components, but surely the 'focus' point of the LNB can/should be 'fine-tuned' or is it that I have a bucket-full of signal due to the 1 metre dish? Or am I making noises from the wrong-end yet again!

If you haven't needed to tweak anything then you've been lucky.

Usually you need to at least make a minor adjustment to the dish angle to optimize the signal. The Lnb arm and Lnb should not need adjusting. The Lnb should be set vertical.

But if you didn't need to adjust anything then you obviously got it spot on.

Well done!

For the stronger satellites any LNB adjustment is not critical.

Try to get 26E or 7W or similar and you may find that a little bit of adjustment is required, particularly the forward and back movement of the LNB.
