Default So, do we know what's happened yet?

Is there anybody out there with a reliable source who can explain what is being done by VM at the moment?

Is this something that the box is likely to be able to solve on it's own given time or is it more serious than that?

Like many probably are, fingers crossed

Have just phoned round my family, who all have eurovox & they're having the same problems too. I've only had my box just under a month & certainly dont want to be spending more money on another one if at all avoidable.

Fingers crossed eh lol

I heard its just an issue with VM changing the way that Keys are provided, and that people are preparing firmware to update the way EuroVox gets the codes.

I got the Ex C&W codes from bigmaq toolbar and mine's working fine again, follow the instructions that people have posted on here and you'll be fine.

Does anyone know if this is likely to happen again soon? What have they changed and how does this effect the box?

Just curious but if you didn't put the new codes in would the box eventually update itself?

I wondered that myself, I've just manually updated, but before doing that was just thinking of leaving it running overnight.............

The ROM7 update gave false keys, well a couple of incorrect bits anyway. ROM10 and ROM11 updates have been doing this for a while. Time will tell if this was a one off or a permanent change.

It will be fixed much quicker now it's hit the mainland

Is that a direct response to the boxes from VM? I take it their own boxes can see thru' any false keys and therefore not effect their paying customers?

Oh, and could you explain the ROM updates? I'm new to all this but would like to try and understand what happened for future reference?

Thanks
