codes! how do they do it

i would like to do my bit and help crack these ..how do you go about doing this??

just get the bigmaq toolbar keeps you updated with the keys whenever they change

I just got the bigmaq toolbar (searched for it on google and downloaded it) for info Virgin media is not listed, I am VM, but went for what i used to have NTL ex C&L (cable and Wireless) and It all works now.. Just get the codes, press the menu key then the yellow button to input them, the small code for NTL/ex C&L is 5C01

i know what you mean.. i study software engineering as well....
i am a keen programmer.

i have some idea of how this is done... these channels are scrambled or encrypted.... hax0rz then try to decrypt the channels....
so in relation to your answer i think you have to look into firstly how this broadcasting works and how channels are encrypted once you have a good understanding you this then i suppose one can deploy their programming knowledge and ability to crack codes....

as with any hax0ring... there ALWAYS tools available to help you do the job..... soooo all in all i think its just a question of having knowledge, the passion to help, and knowing some FTA peoples!!
