Default Influx of Cable Pirates

Influx of Cable Pirates is really beyond the joke.

It looks like Virgin have applied a coding change which is seriously impact cable boxes across the UK.

Certainly we're doing everything we can to ensure the forums remain legal.

I'm also presuming that you've never accessed anything via satellite that you didn't completely pay for?

Yes but why should these guys make this site slow when all will bugger off by the end of the week never to be seen again till Virgin does another update.

What we're looking at is a fairly unique event, so the traffic spike is pretty understandable - but hopefully everything will return to normal soon.

Once this is over, I can get on with giving away from free satellite stuff.

Looks like the server admin has done a wonderful job of optimising the server to help cope with the extra load - but if we find the traffic spike kills the server again, I'll probably have to start redirecting visitors with cable addresses to a static page to reduce load issues.
