If you're a Eurovox owner then you've probably been plagued by this message over the past few days. The cable companies are changing the way they update their boxes and this is affecting all Eurovoxes, it is not a fault with the box because, as you know, they should not be used for receiving subscription television but the message can be cleared.
Please do not ask or telephone us for codes to clear this message as we are not able to provide them but you may find the following information very useful: The forums at ******** provide a wealth of information for the Eurovox user and have several solutions to clear the code being updated message. The guys at Techwatch have instructions for removing the message using a utility called the BigMAQ toolbar which can be found at**********************. The engineers at Eurovox are working on a permanent software fix which will remove the message but this will require a simple software upgrade. Details of the software upgrade will be made available when ready and we expect it to be only a few days away. Of course, this update will only be available for genuine boxes so if you've got yourself a cheap clone then you're out of luck. You might be interested to know that Starview boxes have not been affected by the recent changes and continue to operate as normal. If you are interested in purchasing a Starview 3 then please ******here. Kind Regards, (Please note hyperlinks removed for Forum Rules) Last edited by Replica; 10-04-08 at 08:26 AM. |

You never know! But I bet their Eurovox sales are down! Interesting that they claim the starview box 3 does not seem to be affected by the lastest eurovox problem........

that is correct.... the box and the box super is not affected by the auto roll key update as they can update the new keys without any problem unlike the eurovox

That was just something I heard, it also explained why some got updated much faster than others so it made sense to me. Thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding.
