Hi Everbody,

Sorry for new thread but had a look through old thread and could not find what I was looking for.

I have just worked out that my Father-in-law has just purchased a Starview Clone and guess what it has stoped working.

Got told that if it has 18 x 7 slots on top it is a clone.

I have entered the new keys but still no good keeps updating and all that.

Is there a Firmware update that I need to put on so that it works with new keys.

Sorry new to this, but any help would be great.

This is the easy way don't count the vents because the first Starview (before Starview 1) was the same size as the clones.The clones are a model of the first Starview,your firmware should be OK as the keys where changing all day you MAY have the wrong keys

If you have had the box for longer than a year and half it could be the first Starview,what firmware are you using Menu--System Info
