Does anyone know the real state of play here - are users going to be resigned to searching for codes daily until they come up with a way to make these boxes useless.

Anyone in the know here have any idea what is in store for Eurovox users over the coming months ? Is the party over ?

I read a discussion about this on another board yesterday, it turns out there is a flaw in the new code that changes the keys. Fear not, this flaw can be utilised to overcome this problem, it will just take a little time.

Yeah, without being an expert in these matters I think a new firmware should eventually sort out this little problem.
Plenty of dedicated and knowledgeable who work hard for us to receive free cable!

i think this is going to be a fact of life for the near future until the firmware is updated.....so on with the daily chores of putting in new codes

Will this firmware be freely available ? I got my box 'plug n' play' so didn't have to get any software, however the vendor did state that I was entitled to free software updates for life. I'm just not sure how I receive this as I have never received an email from them and there is nothing on their website.

Will this be available on the Bigmaq toolbar ?

Yes mate, the firmware would be freely available.

It will be available from sites like this, you will need an rs232 null modem cable to install it.
