Default Eurovox problem

Hi
I know there is a thread on this but it is 93 pages, Ive read 57 pages and given up trying to find out.

My euro vox is from 2006 if this helps

software version ssc4 feb 08 2006
h/w version 2.0 feb 08 2006

I bought this off someone and I have no way of connecting it to a computer. I lost the epg about a year ago but I think it requires an update.

Basically I am trying to find instructions on how to manually update the code as for the last two days ive had "please wait, code being updated" on my screen. Anyone know how to do the code? I tried pressing menu and yellow like that other guy says but it just brings the normal menu up...

My eurovox is called eurovox max.

Thanks

Press Menu, Languge Settings, 1968, 1968, You will then see a list of keys.

Arrow <> across til you find the keys you want and edit them there

Copied from page 63 - you got close! (see also Ronster's Quick Guide on the sticky

"A little guide hope it helps
1st use google search
2nd try typing ''bigmaq toolbar''
3rd download + install
click on the key icon on toolbar
select your area and ex cable provider eg telepest/nthell/cable&wasters
write down these numbers
?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
THESE ONLY WORK IN YOUR AREA hence why you have to have your area codes
next
go to you box
press menu>lang
type in 19681968
you now have a screen with names of cable providers
use left and right arrow keys to move thru list
READ THE 4 DIGITS NUMBERS IN THE COLUM MARKED NEXT TO YOUR PROVIDER
write them down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
next

exit back to black screen(if in doubt pull the power lead and plug it back in)
now here this
press
menu>yellow>enter in the four figures for you provider id you wrote down
enter the two lines of codes for you actual area
press ok
press ok
press blue
Press exit"
