I have just updated a Red box and all is working well.

can confirm, Red-box Update went smootly, and the 16:9 menu fix has been added to and works a treat, and auto updated straight away
this is realy good news, we have been waiting long time for this 16:9 fix, and i thought it would never happen

im really pleased so far, just hope no new bugs will surface, time will tell

oh, by the way all the channels were deleted after the upgrade, so i reccomend saving the .cdf channel list first so you can just dump your channels back on after.

if you back up your channels once the new software is installed do you just download it to your box thanks for any help

back up your channels using the UFL_Loader fist before you upgrade the new firmware
using the upload button

then fash your box with the main download button, and wait till the box comes back on
then once its working, click the download button for the channels.

Just ran the update on a blue box

forgot to backup CDF file doh

showed ver 2.0 pre flash

attempted update twice got failed both times but now says ver 2.1

I put the old cdf I had saved from last update and all my channels are back

totally confused

Hold off the Blue update for now, apparently it's buggy. They are fixing it now.
