Did mine today my box is a march 06 Eurovoxmax 3 (presume its a blue as did have a blue carboard box at the time)., anyway when i set box back up there was no signal strength coming in so didnt bother doing a powerscan., i did notice the internet was down and still is , im hoping thats the reason !? i wait to find out

Hi,

Just trying to update the Eurovox Max V... but just get the following message on trying to apply the update:

"Waiting for the reponse of your receiver"

With no option to cancel it....

Any ideas?

Fearing I have bricked it - although according to the number of slots, its genuine!

I have a eurovox max v 2008 box and it came in a black and white box with black and white writing on it, i have tried all the euro max-v kuro 2008 software and it just says "waiting for responce from reciever" . I have phoned the guy i got it off and he says that i have to know the password on the box in order to update software, any advice would be much appreciated , thank you

Hi,

Took about 1 minute to fix - it was to do with the porting of the USB.

You need to go into device manager, and change the port to port 3 - its in the advanced settings (Right click the com port option to go into the properties).

This should come up with an error message about duplication of ports - but it still works.

Files have updated now and just doing a quick scan for channels - forgot to upload my channels before updating!!! doh!

just like to say a big thanks to everyones help downloaded new firmware once i figured out what version of box i had!! and followed the guides on how to install and bingo all back!! does anyone know if this is going to be a regular occurance

the slots are irrelevant, if theres red dye on the screws that attach the motherboard to the case, and the wires are messy and twisted thats an indication of a clone. Theres pictures knocking about to show u clones and originals.

I've managed to install firmware succesfully but after power scan it goes to channel 1 and says "service unknown"

I had problems scanning when i first got box (a year ago) and can't remember what i done to fix it.

Any ideas please?

Edit: Put firmware in again, plugged it in and it worked without scanning.

The only thing is the favourites are not working and i'm sure i done it right, never mind. :-)
Edit: got favourites to work too.

Was already to try and update my box for the first time,but i bought the wrong cable from Ma***ns, doh!
Will change tomorrow and hopefully get it done.

Does the new update have widescreen ?

Thanks. you were a great help. followed what you said except i bought a cable in Maplins IRL for €16.49 not a few quid, although it was worth it. thanks for your time and great help. its good the way you changed the photos on your post to guide us.
