Thanks for the reply, the box is 2007 and black allover and i checked the pictures and i'm fairly sure its not a clone, what do you think ?

What firmware are you trying to flash with? This message normally only occurs if you are trying to put the wrong firmware onto a box ie. red firmware to blue box etc.

Right , I have a Blue 06 Eurovox .... finally got all the cabels sorted , have downloaded UFL_Max_BLUE_21_04_08 , and am ready to atempt to flash my box for the first time .... question is , the keys haven't rolled in nearly a week ... so should I bother ? Im sure Im gonna bollox it up ....

The keys will roll again as to when and how regularly from now on, who knows...

I presume you've checked to make sure you ain't got a clone.

Then before you flash the box, back up your channel data (CDF file) to your pc, then flash the box and then restore the channel data.

Yeah , I'll give it a go tomorrow morning when I get a chance ... by the way , lucky13 - Ive checked and according to all the guides on this site , I haven't got a Cloned box ... thanks. This site is a god send .. thanks to the likes of Ronster and yourself ...

hi all, finally got a null modem cable and flashed the box. got 138 channels but some have a distorted picture on some channels. there seems to be differing poste on how to solve this. any one got the same problems ???? tried altering the frequency but didnt work....

Hi

The box is showing 8 through the vents I've flashed using ufl_max_red_21_04_08 but its saying "this firmware is not fit for your reciever" any suggestions please.

As it happens when I got home yesterday my box had re-acquired the new codes, and all channels were working fine. I guess it just takes a while sometimes. A relative of mine who lives up the road has the same box as me, with the same software upgrade (because I loaded it onto her box too), and her channels upgraded no bother.

Thanks again to all concerned. This forum is worth its weight in gold!
