Are you sure you don't have a clone or a silver box? Normally this message ocurrs when you try to put the wrong firmware onto the wrong box e.g blue firmware to red box etc.

Also, what firmware is currently on the box - go to Menu, Config and System Information and tell us what date appears beside the S/W Ver heading?

Hello guys

finally flashed box. it didnt work first time when i tried downloading channels. second time i just downloaded the software without backing up channels. the box works fine now. needed to do full power scan though. i had all frequencies saved in case i lost some channels. i also had bought an adapter for my null modem so i could use a usb port. the adapter didnt work great so i used an old pc with connection for cable. anyways thanks to ronster. good stuff.

How to spot a clone is here How can you tell a clone ?

To get the firmware, google the 'bigMAQ toolbar' and install it. Under the Updates/Fixes icon you'll find the firmware for you.

Have you tried to do it yourself? - it really is as easy as inputting the keys manually.

Afraid I'm wrong side of the country m8
