On XP, you need to double-click on it in Device Manager and at the bottom of the General Tab, make sure it is set to enabled. (dunno how you check if its enabled on Vista)

Are you using an rs232 to USB adaptor?

Hey guys, thanks for all the good work. Basically i have got a eurovox max v black 2008 and have tried going through the process of downoading the maq toolbar and then using the program to download the firware to my box, this all went fine, however when i did the power scan no channels appeared. i have since gone back to factory settings again and tryed it on all 3 options of symbol rates and still i get no channels. i have now also tried manually putting the codes in again and still nothing. all it says when i try to watch a channel is that they are unavailable. sorry if you have already covered this earlier in the thread but i couldn't find it. any help please, i'm desperate and worried.

Make sure everything is plugged in correctly and the co-ax cable in the RF IN socket. Don't do a powerscan. Clear data, Factory Default and FULL SCAN

Yes - look on the bigMAQ toolbar - Beta fix 10/4, full Kuro3 release 18/4.
