I reckon your problem is that you have put the wrong firmware on it. Had you already tried the 18/4/08 firmware? If not, then flash your box again, but this time use the 18/4/08 firmware.

Thats why your signal is too strong and you're not picking up any channels

Cheers buddy i'll try that and let you know. It does say its got an 8% signal fix on it so that would make sense.

Ok i've tried doing it with the 18.04.08 firmware and the downloading process won't get past the 'waiting for response of your reciever' stage on my laptop. Do you knoww anything to get past that problem?

Are you certain your com port is set correctly? When you get that message try unplugging the power from your EV and plugging back in again.

josken and desi

Are you guys using an rs232 NULL MODEM cable to connect your box to your pc? (A standard rs232 serial cable will look identical but won't work)

Is your serial port set to a COM port between 1 and 4? (the firmware looks for the box on ports 1 thru to 4 only)

I've Eurovox Max V and I'm updating it for the first time. Could someone please point me to a post/thread that relates to updating this model. I've looked through the various threads but can't find anything.
Also, I'm having trouble finding a programme to save the channels on my computer before updating. Previous links appear to be dead.
Thanks.
