This is a unified loader i.e. loader and firmware all-in-one. You simply launch it on your PC and press download as per the first post on the first page of this thread

Yes it is not a genuine original, and they are usually not as well made and with cheaper parts. They are not necessarily cheaper to buy.

You can use a clone but with care. Pretty much all of the firmware updates are designed to brick clones (ie render them useless) but there is clone-safe firmware out there for certain models.

Always make sure you are buying a geniune box from a reputable dealer and that the box carries a warranty in case it develops a fault.

Some one help me before me box goes in the BIN ha!

I have two boxes, both euro vox max blues, ones stuck in standby

I've downloaded the UFL_Max_BLUE_21_04_08.zip

leaves me with a UFL_Max_BLUE_21_04_08.exe file

i also downloaded DnUpMan_DVBC_FAV8_20060314.exe

But this is were it gets confusing.. I have to use a PC ( with windows even worse

So i've transfered the files from my Mac to laptop pc..

if i open the UFL_Max_BLUE_21_04_08.exe an app opens, yet i cant do anything with it.. so i read somemore.. i need DnUpMan_DVBC_FAV8_20060314.exe

so i open that, looks very similar to the other file.. but this one wants some firmware?? But where do i find the firmware.. Nobody actually says, i presuming you mean the firmware of the euro vox box? but i cant see where to find it as it doesn't seem to mount on the desktop? is this correct

So my questions are this where do i find the firmware?
and what is the difference between a null rs323 lead and a normal rs323 lead.. i'm not sure which i have..

Cant someone please help me

Dnupman is for use with clones. You can get firmware from chatterbox toolbar. Cables are wired differently and you cant tell by looking at them. You'll need a null modem with eurovox.
