e-bay you need rs232 to usb, you will find that the rs 232 adaptors all have male ends, you need female to plug into rear of eurovox therefore you will also have to buy a male to female rs232 converter plenty on there @99p if you r on vista insure that the rs232 to usb is compatible many aren't.

I think to get the USB to Serial to work on vista you need a driver thats all.

yes m8 theyve been cloned apparently,they come in the white box but dont know how to tell the difference yet,the pics i posted are of blue original and clones

well im a newbie but with the help of you guys got the new fw onto my v max 2008 and up and running again quite impressed with the auto favourite sort feature as well.

hopefully things will stabilize a little now.

Its there anyway of identifing a cloned Red box as opposed to an origional Red box? Serial numbers, markings etc.
By cloned I assume that means a fake Eurovox, Not made by Eurovox but identical.

Any help appreciated.

Gerb theres a thread/post about it with pics to identify the fakes, its pretty much they have red on the screws holding down the boards and the wires are twisted and messy

I thought Ronster said that was the Blue Box. Wasn't sure if it applied to the Red box with it being a later model also I'm nearly sure I have an origional box just wanted more confirmation than those Pics they're very hard to see.

Hi, downloaded the new update for my Red box. In the past when I have updated the firmware, searched my PC for stored .bin files and downloaded using Voxer or dnupman.
With the latest update there's just an executable file which brings up the Flashloader programme. I am assuming that I simply press Download and need not worry about the fact there is no .bin file in this case.

I have an old RS232 type cable from my old gold card programmer; It's male at one end, and female at the other, both 9 pins. Anyone know if this will be suitable for flashing a Eurovox?
Do I need the box plugged into the cable line and a TV, or can I do it without?
